[R] Error adding Bigmemory package

I am trying to add the bigmemory packages but I get the following error
message:

The downloaded packages are in

I am using the GNU compiler version 4.5.1 from blastwave on a Solaris 10
box.
I can't seem to find how to compile bigmembory successfully.  I can complile
and add
other packages.
