[R] text editors

If you do everything in Windows, Tinn-R is one of the best and also the one I use.  I also tried WinEdt. It's very good, but it is not free.  If you want a cross-platform editor, Emacs+ESS is the one.  Like others said, the learning curve is steep, but worth it.
