[R] R-installation

Hello,

I get this following error when try the "configure" command. Any suggestions
would be helpful

configure: error: --with-readline=yes (default) and headers/libs are not available


Not sure whats happening here. I am trying to install on a Redhat Linux ES v4.0
on a AMD 64 opteron machine.
