[R]: Update on R GUI's ??

Yes, this is true. I volonteer to set up and maintain a web site dedicated
to R GUIs. The prototype of this web site is currently accessible at
http://www.sciviews.org/_rgui. At the time this discussion was fired on
R-Help, I was pretty buzy, and it is still the case for the next two weeks.
After that, I will have some spare time to work on it, and also on my R GUI
;-). In the meantime, you can visit the (largely incomplete) site under
construction. Of course, your comments are welcome. If you know about a GUI
project for R that is not referred, please, tell me. When the site will be
finalized, I would happily consider to include it in CRAN, if this is
appropriate. Otherwise, a link from CRAN would do the job pretty well.
Best,
Philippe Grosjean

As primary maintainer of R's web pages: I'd be more than happy to
support an effort like this by providing webspace, i.e., if somebody
sets up a couple of web pages etc. I can easily integrate them into
www.R-project.org (or redirect to another site from us). But somebody
else has to write and administer the pages :-)
Best,
Fritz
