it is working very fine.

Yes, your e-mail software is producing error messages (to me, as list
maintainer quite often). I'll forward the report next time I get
one for you.
There are other people who's e-mail software rejects R-help (or
*-digest) message quite often.
Some, e.g., refuse to transport non-ASCII characters, i.e.
they will refuse everything with accents or umlauts -- a very
silly setup, IMO.
Let me use this occasion to announce that I plan to move the
(remaining) R mailing lists, R-help, R-announce, and R-devel
with their digests from majordomo to mailman (software wise),
since I now have learned how to use procmail and spamassassin
for spam protection of mailman lists.
This will hopefully have quite a few advantages for you as
subscribers, e.g., it will be simple to change a subscription
from `regular' to `digest' and some digest readers will be happy
to choose MIME-digests instead of the current style.
For me, there's hopefully even more advantages in sofar as
mailman does many things more automatically than majordomo does
now.
