At this URL (``web address''), I have created my first ``home page'' in 1994
and it has been here (and been found as "first hit" by search engines) up
to summer 2008, even though my
new page, http://stat.ethz.ch/people/maechler
has been in place from 2003.
For this reason, I now only provide this small page instead.
