[R] installation on Mac OS X

You can get help using a browser such as dillo or mozilla or mosaic
and otherwise you just get help in the terminal or xterm window. If
you run "R --gui=gnome" you get separate help windows.

Also, if you run X11 rootless with an Aqua window manger such as
Xtools or OroborusX, you will not really be bothered much by the
two separate interfaces. Finally, it is not you, but Apple that has 
turned the Mac
into a Unix box. And wasn't it great that they did ?
