You must install Rw1031 (using SetupR.exe) INCLUDING the option
for compiling source files. If not, run setupR again. You should have
Rcmd in rw1031/bin
Then, following directions in
www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/Rtools
install:
-tools.zip
-Perl (Active Perl)
-mingw-1.1.tar.gz
Remember copying sh.exe to c:\bin\sh.exe as stated in
www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/Rtools.html
Check that the bin directory of Perl is in your path (autoexec.bat).
Add the path for mingw32\bin and the one for your R home,
if you don't have it yet (i.e., mine is E:\rw1031\bin) and
the one for the Rtools.
On a console window, a command such as
Rcmd SHLIB test.c
should work.
Hope this helps.
