[R] Possible bug in apply()

The bug appears to be dead in the development version. (Probably same
bug as the median trouble reported a short while ago.)

> apply(dist.dat, 1, shap)
          [,1] [,2]
W 0.8875191054   NA
  0.0006219975   NA

(And I also see it in 1.1.1)
