Thanks to Peter Dalgaard & Giovanni E. Romero for help with the previous
question - following on from that I have another (easy?) question:

I have a file of the form:

	y01 y02 y03 y04 y05 . . . y0n
	y11 y12 y13 y14 y15 . . . y1n
	y21 y22 y23 y24 y25 . . . y2n
	y31 y32 y33 y34 y35 . . . y3n
	.
	.

I want to read in the file and then for each line, I want to be able to:

- calculate the variance on the first two results (eg y01 and y02), and
then the variance on the first three results (eg y01 - y03) and then the
variance on the first four results (eg y01 - y04) etc
- then graph the results so I can see the successive change in the variance
for each line

ie I want the graphs printed on the same page under each other so I can see
compare the lines (there will be n-1 points on each graph).

Thanks,

Phil.
