[R] anybody XEmacs AND ESS with working filename completion?

Hello,
I have been using ESS5.1.11 and have troubles when trying filename
completion. Under xemacs20.4 (debian) - when I press TAB inside a
(R)-string, the
message is "last thing matched was not a buffer".
Completion of objects works fine - and under gnu emacs there is no
problem either.

I get the same error as above when I call M-x comint-dynamic-complete.
But when I call M-x comint-dynamic-complete-filename - everything works
fine!
Does anybody know the solution?
