There is a new acepack (1.1) with a corrected version of the FORTRAN code
at CRAN as of a couple of days ago. There were some problems with how I
had converted it to double precision (I don't understand why it used to
work, though....). The FORTRAN code now compiles with g77 (with some
harmless warnings about format statements that aren't ever used).
