R-beta: SGI - IRIS graphics window refreshing problem

If I remember right, this has been a known bug for long.

The current development version of R (0.62) does not suffer from this,
but it will be several weeks before a release.
[R 0.61.2 will be released the coming weekend.
 It will have eliminated quite a few problems, but not this graphics one.]
