R-beta: SGI - IRIS graphics window refreshing problem

Hi,

I was succesfully able to create a binary using the configure and make
commands. Everything works well except that the graphics window does not
refresh itself if another window, say one that lies on top of the
graphincs window, is moved. 

Any help would be welcomed.

p.s.
I was also wondering what if any "make clean"  program I can use to 
remove unwanted files.
