... in the meanwhile, I found out that this is indeed a typo in the
vignette. I suggest to change it to "(x_{n-3}, x_{n-2}, x_{n-1},
y_{n-3}, y_{n-2}, y_{n-1})" on page 6 in the version of October 31, 2014.
