problem with make fullcheck on Sparc Solaris 8

Thanks, but the problem was supposedly fixed by this change

  Need 'R_LIBS=' when calling R CMD INSTALL.
  R/src/library/Recommended Makefile.in,1.10

so a build of 2002-9-12 is not very informative.

Could you two please

a) Retry with a clean build (just in case)
b) Tell us whether you have R_LIBS set
c) Tell us whether you build in the source directory or separately
d) Show the output of ls `bin/R RHOME`/library

(should be like this

[pd@butterfly BUILD]$ ls `bin/R RHOME`/library
base     ctest    grid        MASS     mva   R.css    stepfun   ts
boot     e1071    KernSmooth  methods  nlme  rpart    survival
class    eda      lattice     mgcv     nls   spatial  tcltk
cluster  foreign  lqs         modreg   nnet  splines  tools

)

and also check whether survival has the R-ex subdirectory with the
relevant contents.
