Dear all,
a problem with barplot() was already discussed on R-help for R 0.90.0 - sorry,
if this is a known bug, but I was unable to find it in the bugs database.
In:
> barplot(c(.1,.5,1), ylim=(0:1))
or
> barplot(c(.1,.5,1), ylim=c(0,1))
the y axis is drawn from 0.2 to 0.8, in:
> barplot(c(.1,.5,1))
the y axis is drawn from 0.0 to 0.8.
As I was notified earlier by Peter Dalgaard, "the axis settings use yaxs='i'
(or xaxs if horizontal) which sets the plot boundaries equal to the ylim
(stated or computed) and marks the axes "internally". The endpoints of the
axes are not considered to be internal."
Sorry again if this is already reported.
With regards
Zdenek Skala
