probably my linux machine doesn't like it, when I write about sticky
issues like ms software and interferes with what I'm writing ...

pw1118.exe did the job for me ... now it works including graphics
... or lets put it this way:
x<-rnorm(100)
y<-sin(x)
plot(x,y)
worked :-)
finding bugs is left to students insisting on using windows
shouldn't there be something in the README?
as for the 2.4MB: the biggest file in the archive is about 350k, so
repacking it into 2 archives <= 1440k shouldn't be a problem.
