[ESS] [External] Re: emacs 27.1 crashes regularly on Mac M1

I have not tried anything at this point.  I don't have any sense of what specific causes the
crash.  I just notice that it crashes about twice a week, and that I have not seen that type of
behavior previously with the Mac Intel.

I can't test as I don't have an M1 Mac available.

Did you try David Caldwell's "bare" binaries: https://emacsformacosx.com. Those are the binaries my distribution is based on.
