[ESS] submit region with ess-remote and SAS

Hi Peng:

These things are very temperamental.  As I remember it, iESS[SAS] relies 
on virtual terminals.  However, these are created on the remote host so
ESS has to talk to those terminals.  What happens sometimes, is that 
iESS tries to talk to those terminals as if they were on the local host. 
  I haven't looked at this recently, but maybe this description will be 
so lucid that some OP will be immediately lead to the solution (I doubt 
it).  I created a function, ess-sas-interactive, that seems to be good 
for debugging other non-ESS problems, but I think you can only submit 
one line at time.
