Using stata with Xemacs

Stata under windows does not allow for process interaction.

Neither does the GUI version of stata for unix.

and for Stata 7.0, the command-line version is cripple-ware.  I'm a
bit sour on using stata, since IMHO, it's now broken (note that I'm
extremely biased as far as my user environment -- "if it can't work
with ESS, it must be broken".

You can edit .do and .ado files, though; the mode is useful for that.
