No subject

Hi,

I have just install ess-5.1.9, under Xemacs version 21.1 and SuSE Linux
6.3, and am having problems running both Splus and R through it. Both seem
to start, but without a prompt and the message "Timeout waiting for
prompt. Check inferior-ess-prompt or ess-loop-timeout". 

Could someone please tell me to check and change these parameters ?
