ess-sas-sh-command: cannot shift

Hello,
Was the following issue ever addressed? I'm having the same problem.
ESS: 5.1.17
Xemacs: 21.1.12
SAS: 8.1
OS: Solaris 7
I have edited the ess-sas-sh-command similar to that described below.
