Gnuserv, NTEmacs, Windows 2000 and R

Does Rterm.exe work from a dos window?  If not, you need to upgrade to
the very latest version of 1.1.1 (I'm not sure if they incremented the
version number for it, but there was a Win2k patch for Rterm).

If it is working, please let us know, and we'll think of another
possible solution.
