[ESS-bugs] [ESS] trouble starting ESS

Hi Rodney,
I was having trouble getting ESS to run about a month ago and finally
figured out what the problem was last week. As it turns out the
.../emacs/site-lisp/ess-5.11/etc/ess-sas-sh-command file was not
executable. An admin who installed ESS forced executable permissions
for all users and that solved the problem.
Thanks for helping troubleshoot this one.

Actually, I think, that's expected. All I was trying to ascertain was
whether
it was executable, and, apparently, it is. So, your problem is that
sas is not found in your PATH when you are using emacs. Is it in your
PATH at the command line?
