[ESS-bugs] Lisp nesting exceeds 'max-lisp-eval-depth'

Hi,

To produce the error "Lisp nesting exceeds 'max-lisp-eval-depth'"
I start Xemacs 21.4.19 (ESS 5.3.0) with nothing in my init.el file,
then type 'M-x load-library ess-site' and 'M-x R'.

The same problem occurs with ESS 5.2.12 
but _not_ with ESS 5.2.11

The output from 'ESS-send bug report' is shown below.

Let me know if you require more information
(but please tell me explicitly what to do 
as I am not familiar with lisp).

I will stay on ESS 5.2.11 for now.
