[BioC] PhD position available in Florence, Italy, for metabolomcs studies

A three–years Ph.D. student position is available in the group of 
metabolomic of the FiorGen Foundation in Florence (www.fiorgen.net). The 
research facility is located @ CERM Center of Magnetic Resonance of the 
University of Florence (http://www.cerm.unifi.it/home/).

The Ph.D. is in the frame of The International Doctorate in Structural 
Biology that is in collaboration with the Biozentrum of the University 
of Frankfurt and the Bijvoet Center at the University of Utrecht.

The research project is focused on NMR-based metabolomic studies of 
biological fluids for metabolic fingerprinting of several diseases. This 
is a strong multidisciplinary research project: experiments (sample 
preparation/ NMR spectra acquisition), statistical analysis and data 
interpretation will be part of research routine.

The successful candidate should have a training either in 
Chemistry/Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Statistical sciences. 
Programming skill in Matlab and/or R would be preferable together with 
excellent communications skills and the ability to work on a variety of 
projects with scientists from a range of disciplines.
