Harvard Medical School - Postdoctoral Fellowship in Bioinformatics
Two post-doctoral fellowships in bioinformatics are available
immediately to work in the laboratory of Dr. Peter Park at Harvard
Medical School and Children's Hospital Boston. The long-term goal of
the group is to understand gene regulation through computational
analysis of genomic data (http://chip.org). The successful candidate
will work on integrating gene expression and DNA copy number data, or
on analyzing chromatin structure and function through protein-DNA
binding data. The Harvard Medical area is one of the most exciting
places in the world for biomedical research and there is ample
opportunity for collaborative work with top biologists.
Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related
field such as statistics, applied mathematics, and computer science.
Excellent programming skills are essential and previous experience
with R or Matlab is a plus. Experience with microarray analysis is a
strong plus. Applications from candidates with no prior experience in
molecular biology or bioinformatics are welcomed but those candidates
should have an outstanding record in their field and explain the
reasons for wanting to work in this area.
Please send your CV, a brief statement of research interests, pdfs of
papers, and contact information for three references to
