The Center for Bioinformatics and Molecular Biostatistics in the
Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at UCSF seeks applications
for a faculty position. Appointment is at the Assistant level in the
Adjunct series.
Duties: Liaise with clinical and translational investigators who
utilize genomics and/or proteomics technologies in their research, with
involvements ranging from proposal development through data analyses.
Provide bioinformatics instruction at all levels.. Pursue an independent
bioinformatics research program and be partially self-supporting with
own grants.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics or relevant
discipline; At least 2 years postdoctoral experience; Familiarity with
microarray and mass spectrometry data analysis, DNA sequence analysis,
bioinformatics tools & algorithms, and the R package; Strong publication
record.
