[BioC] Problem about proxy in linux

Hi,

         I want to install bioconductor in my linux machine. I set
http_proxy=http://autoproxy:portnumber. But it seems R did not work to
get file by http.

         > source(http://www.bioconductor.org/getBioC.R)

         Error in file(file, "r") : unable to open connection

         In addition: Warning message:

         Cannot open: HTTP status was '404 Not Found'

 

         By using the proxy I set, netscape can be used. But why R does
not work?
