Bioconductor will initially only give the maintainer of the package push access. It is best practice for only one person to have access to push changes; while the other should submit changes to the maintainers repository for merges and review. If multiple people really need push access, You will need the maintainer of the package request this. Once requested we can grant additional access; we will need your BiocCredentials account email/id. If you do not already have a BiocCredentials account, we can assist with creating it.

Subject: [Bioc-devel] Not able to make changes to repository push to git using git.bioconductor.org
Dear Bioconductor Team,
I am currently listed as an author (role = "aut") for the scHiCcompare
package in its DESCRIPTION file. However, when attempting to push changes
to the repository at:
git remote add upstream git using git.bioconductor.org:packages/scHiCcompare.git
> git remote -v
> git fetch --all
> git push upstream main:devel
Then I got error message:
> "FATAL: W any packages/scHiCcompare mdozmorov DENIED by fallthru
> (or you mis-spelled the reponame)
> fatal: Could not read from remote repository.
> Please make sure you have the correct access rights
> and the repository exists."
I am not too sure how I can have the right to access this.
Thank you,
MN
