Hi developers,
Just a reminder that now that the BioC release is behind us, we are
at the beginning of a new devel cycle, and this is a good time for
making the "deprecated -> defunct -> removal" shift in your package,
and for identifying features that are candidates for deprecation.
It's recommended to proceed in 3 steps (in this order):
(1) remove the defunct stuff;
(2) change status of deprecated stuff to defunct;
(3) decide whether new features need to be deprecated and, if any,
deprecate them ASAP.
See ?.Deprecated and ?.Defunct for how to deprecate/defunct functions.
Please let us know if you have any question or concerns about this.
Thanks,
H.
