The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine, Biostatistics Unit, at the University of Zurich invites applications for a research position at the PostDoc level ("wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter"). The appointment will probably start at September 1st, 2007. The candidate should * have a PhD in Statistics or in a related field * have publications in Biostatistics in international journals, with applications either in clinical or epidemiological research * have very good programming skills in R, MATLAB, C, or similar * ideally have experience in statistical consulting * be interested in interdisciplinary research * be a teamplayer and committed Among your duties and responsibilities are independent research in an area of Biostatistics, teaching and consulting within the medical faculty, as well as input in the design of a Master program in Biostatistics. We expect interest in obtaining the postdoctoral lecture qualification (habilitation) and the acquisition of external research projects.
