Dear BBS members,

please see below the information from Werner Brannath regarding the CEN 2020 in Berlin this year. If you have not submitted something yet, please think about doing so, even when it is not clear if even such an event in early September will take place. We need to wait and be patient to find out.

Clear is however that the spring seminar which we had planned for May 6 will be moved. It is just getting clear that May 6 is too early to be back to normal. More information will come out in the next few weeks.

Please stay safe!

Dear all,
please notice the important information below from the organizers of the GMDS-CEN 2020.
With kind regards,

Dear all,
we are aware that in the current situation where Corona seems to be the only relevant topic, it is difficult to think about a congress in September.
Currently, we don’t know if the GMDS & CEN-IBS 2020 can take place or if it must be canceled.
For the moment, we will hope that it can take place even if in reduced form.
• Submitting any kind of contribution is not subject to any financial risk, so we really want to encourage you to submit your abstract or full paper until March 31th. This also refers to speakers agreeing to give a talk in a topic- contributed or invited session – these abstracts must be uploaded via the registry tool as well. The abstract and full papers will be published even if the conference is canceled.
• In order to allow you to make your booking when the situation is more clear, the early bird deadline for registration is extended until August 15th.
• We will inform you if the conference takes place and if yes under what conditions until the 1st of August 2020.
Best wishes,

Geraldine Rauch
(in behalf of the conference organizers)
