Dear list members,

We are looking for a Statistician (70%-100%) at the Institute of Social and Preventive medicine (IUMSP) affiliated to the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Context: The Swiss Inflammatory Bowel Disease Cohort Study (SIBDCS) started in October 2006. The Datacentre of the cohort is located at IUMSP Lausanne with several objectives. One of those is to provide methodological and statistical support for R & D projects performed with cohort data.

Your role (job description):

- To conduct statistical analyses, especially complex analyses that cannot be done by clinical researchers.
- To provide expertise to draw statistical plans, to provide statistical methodological help, to evaluate research projects before / after submission to the scientific committee, to make proposals for statistical methods.
- To carry out feasibility studies.

Your skills and experience:

- MSc or PhD in Mathematics and statistics
- Min 3 years of prior experience relevant to the activities and tasks of the position.
- Prior experience in consulting and statistical analysis in the biomedical field (including epidemiology and clinical epidemiology). Ability to perform descriptive and more advanced statistical analyses.
- Knowledge of at least one statistical software.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Flexible and dynamic.
- Fluent French and English skills, German beneficial but not essential.

Starting date: as soon as possible.

Contract: until December 31, 2020, salary within the limits imposed by the SNSF.
