The Division of Chronic Diseases of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine in Lausanne (IUMSP, www.iumsp.ch<http://www.iumsp.ch>) is looking for an epidemiologist (50-80%). The position is available as soon as possible for an 8-month period. The remuneration will be based on the salary scale applied by the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).

Job description: The Division of Chronic Diseases of the IUMSP is responsible for the evaluation of several cantonal screening programmes against breast and colorectal cancer. The main tasks of the candidate will be to participate in various steps of the epidemiological evaluation of these screening programmes: data managing and performing statistical analyses (with Stata), writing up of evaluation reports (in French) and scientific papers (in English), presenting results to various health professional audiences.

The candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. PD MER Jean-Luc Bulliard.

Location: IUMSP, Biop�le 2, Route de la Corniche 10, 1010 Lausanne, Switzerland.

Profile: Ideally, the candidate should hold a Master degree in Epidemiology or Health Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis in public health, and have at least 3 years of expertise in connection with the tasks required by this position. The candidate should have a good command of French and English, and experience with the software Stata.
