[Statlist] Job Announcement: W2 Professorship in Goettingen

At the Institute for Mathematical Stochastics
of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the
Georg-August-University Göttingen, a position is open for a
W 2 Professorship (BesGr. W2 BBesO) in the field of

Stochastics and its Applications,

starting 1st of April 2009

Applicants should have an outstanding research and publication record.
The candidate is expected to participate appropriately in all teaching,
research and administration tasks of the institute. Furthermore, he or
she should represent a current field in stochastics, particularly in
probability theory or in stochastic analysis and its applications (e.g.
in life or natural sciences) related to statistics.


The placement prerequisites for a professorship appointment are given by
§ 25 of the Higher Education Law of Lower Saxony of 26.02.2007  (Nds.
GVB1. 5/2007 S. 69). As a Public Law Foundation, the University of
Göttingen holds the right of appointment. Further details will be
explained on inquiry.

be given preference in the case of equal qualifications.
