Opening for a Full / Adjunct Professor in Numerical Methods


The Department of Econometrics, Faculty of Economics and Social 
Sciences, University of Geneva invites applications for a position of a 
Full Professor or an Adjunct Professor in Numerical Methods starting 
August 1, 2009 or at a convenient date. Candidates should hold a 
relevant Ph.D., must have a proven track record of research and 
publications in numerical methods and their applications in economics 
and finance, in refereed journals commensurate with the position they 
choose to apply for and must have experience in undergraduate and 
graduate level teaching and doctoral supervision. The position involves 
a teaching load of six hours a week for 28 weeks. Teaching is both at 
the undergraduate and graduate levels. Teaching at the undergraduate 
level is in French (with a period of adjustment) and teaching at the 
graduate level is in English. The successful candidate will also be 
required to supervise Masters-level and doctoral research work and 
fulfill administrative tasks related to the position.
