Hi,

try using MCMCglmm - it fits ZIP mixed models, and also hurdle models (good
alternative for ZIP) and zero-alterred models (if you'd like to model both
zero-inflation or zero-deflation). For more info check Jarrod Hadfield's
Course Notes (available from MCMCglmm CRAN page).
