   Yes (I know) and yes (it does).

   The help page for ?glmmTMB says:

ziformula: a _one-sided_ (i.e., no response variable) formula for
           zero-inflation combining fixed and random effects:

    The only caution is that you might need a fairly large data set to 
estimate these terms reliably ...
