Transmitting Science is offering a new edition of the course “Host and 
manage your R projects with Git & GitHub”

Dates and schedule: online live sessions on December 9th, 11th and 12th, 
2025.

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to version control 
with Git and GitHub tailored for R-based projects. The course will cover 
both the theoretical background and practical workflow of initializing a 
Git repository, branching, collaboration on GitHub, continuous 
integration, and best practices for reproducible R projects.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Understand the principles of version control and collaboration in Git.
• Setup and manage R projects in Git / GitHub.
• Use branching, pull requests and merge workflows.
• Implement continuous integration and reproducible workflows for R.

Instruction will combine lectures, guided examples, and practical 
exercises.
