Dear all,

Instead of a meta-analysis question, I’m writing to share an
opportunity that may be of interest to some of you.

The applications are now open for the International Winter School “The
4Ms: Meta-research, Measurement, Multi-lab, and Multiverse Data
Analysis in Behavioral Sciences,” hosted at the University of Padova,
Italy, February 17-21, 2025. Visit our website for details:
winterschool4ms.dpg.unipd.it/

The Winter School, organized by a collaboration of four departments at
the University of Padova, is designed to address current
methodological challenges in behavioral sciences. With a
meta-scientific focus, it aims to contribute to the ongoing debate on
methodological rigor and its impact on theory, measurement, and data
analysis.

The Winter School is ideally aimed at Ph.D. Students, Post-Docs, and
other Early-Career Researchers in psychology and related fields of
behavioral science.

Thanks to contributions of a group of international experts –
including Lisa DeBruine, Jessica Flake, Daniël Lakens, Ulrich
Schimmack, and Dorothy Bishop –, the Winter School aims at introducing
participants to the most recent advancements in “the 4 Ms”
(meta-research, measurement of psychological constructs, multi-lab
collaborations, and multiverse data analysis), offering both
theoretical insights and practical tools. Also, it aims to enhance
participants’ collaborative networks by encouraging discussions of
their ongoing research projects with teachers and peers.

The application deadline is set for November 12, 2024. Applications
can be submitted at winterschool4ms.dpg.unipd.it (during the process,
applicants will be asked to upload their CV/resume in PDF format and a
brief motivation letter of 300-500 words).

The registration fee is €350, including the participation in all
school activities, coffee breaks, lunches, and a social dinner. Thanks
to the support from the four co-organizing departments, and the
Italian Association of Psychology, discounts and exemptions are
available for individuals with disabilities or from
disadvantaged/low-income countries.

Best Regards
Psicostat Core Team for the Organizing Committee
