Today, that is. Yesterday the link was different, pointing the way I
explained. The gfortran version I got that way is referred to "previous
version (before R 4.2.0)" in today's link. So I need to uninstall it
before I upgrade to 4.2.0.
Is it as simple as removing /opt/R/arm64/gfortran and
/opt/R/arm64/bin/gfortran?

I wouldn't dream of consulting random blogs in so serious matters.
Thanks for your help!
