[R-SIG-Mac] Blank menus

Several issues I have noticed recently in:

R version 4.0.3 Patched (2021-02-02 r79929) -- "Bunny-Wunnies Freak Out"
Copyright (C) 2021 The R Foundation for Statistical Computing
Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin17.0 (64-bit)

Running on:

Mac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) with macOS Big Sur 11.2 with 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 and 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

The GUI main menus appear blank until you scroll over them with the pointer. This usually happens after some time R has been running.
