[R-SIG-Mac] How to pass SSL parameters in RmariaDB or RmySQL

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a cloud-hosted mySQL database. (Azure)

The server side has a check box to “require SSL.”

RmariaDB specifies ways of passing multiple parameters (ssl key, cert, ca, capath, and cipher).

I have tried passing multiple sets of things in through the dbConnect function but can’t make it work.

Is there some sort of "simple SSL” that just needs to be toggled?

Has anyone made this work?

Oh, I am using R studio on a mac.
