[R-SIG-Mac] R vs. Microsoft R-Open updates?

The MRO website says it's not possible. I have managed to have an R.app/CRAN_R version 3.3.x running alongside MRO version 3.2.x but I have needed to use the R_Switch.app (spelling?) from the r.att.research.com website to go back an forth between them.
