[R-SIG-Mac] Color Profiles in R-gui and Editor

Hello,

I primarily use R-gui as my main console and it's editor for editing
my script files. It does what I need, but my eyes tire from staring at
white all day. I've tried to change the colors manually through
preferences to something like Solarized
(http://www.zovirl.com/2011/07/22/solarized_cheat_sheet/), but then I
seem to lose syntax highlighting.

Is there an easier way to set color profiles in the gui and editor
that retains syntax highlighting? Is there a way to input an entire
profile like Solarized Light and Dark in a plist file or similar?
Other than "defaults" there doesn't seem to be a dropdown to select
other color profiles.

My google-fu turns up very little and the FAQ only mentions the Pref Pane.

Thanks,
Brandon
