If I hadn't already done it, I'd wait until they get the Mail app sorted out. There are issues that are quite annoying if you're dealing with Exchange and Gmail backends. There's said to be improvements in 10.9.3, which has been right around the corner for more than a month. (Before that, it was in 10.9.2 beta with a release right around the corner, but then there was the emergency security fix.)
