[R-SIG-Mac] Need for OpenMP

Dear Mac-Users, 

I upgraded to Mavericks - which I consider now as a bad mistake. Instead I should have waited until everything gets stable. 

However, I need to use OpenMP in some R packages. clang does not support OpenMP yet and for the Intel OpenMP Runtime suite I need the intel compiler. Is there a solution that can be considered relatively stable (I never use the R.app - only bash).
