[R-SIG-Mac] package-install problem on Mac OS X lion

Dear Kasper,

Thanks -- that gave me the hint I needed. Although the Mac app store said
that Xcode was "installed," and I checked that previously since I thought it
might be the problem, it turned out that the installer had only been
downloaded. Completing the installation solved the problem.
